Event passes on sale for 2024 New Holland Under-21 National Curling Championships

 (Fort McMurray – December 8, 2023) - The Regional Recreation Corporation of Wood Buffalo (RRC) and Fort McMurray Oilsands Curling Club are pleased to launch event pass sales for the 2024 New Holland Under-21 National Curling Championships.

“Curling is a popular winter sport in our community, and the Fort McMurray Oilsands Curling Club is delighted to partner in organizing and delivering this event,” said Tyler Spitzer, 2024 New Holland Under-21 National Curling Championships Host Committee Co-Chair. “Event passes are going on sale just in time for the holiday season as we prepare to welcome teams from across the country to MacDonald Island Park in 2024.”

The 2024 New Holland Under-21 National Curling Championships will take place at MacDonald Island Park from March 24-31, 2024.

“We are excited to once again bring an exciting curling event to the region,” said Jodie Cooper, RRC Director of Sport and Recreation and 2024 New Holland Under-21 National Curling Championships Host Committee Co-Chair. “We are looking forward to hosting this prestigious national event in Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo!”

The winners of the 2024 New Holland Under-21 National Curling Championships will have the opportunity to represent Canada at the 2025 World Junior Championships.

“Curling Canada is delighted to return to Fort McMurray with this event,” said Robyn Mattie, Curling Canada Manager, Event Operations. “We know our athletes, coaches, officials and spectators will be warmly welcomed by the community as they participate in this important event on our championship schedule.”

Event passes are available now:

·         Event Pass - $119 plus applicable fees and taxes

·         VIP Pass - $199 plus applicable fees and taxes
