(Fort McMurray, June 25, 2018) - The Regional Recreation Corporation of Wood Buffalo (RRC) Board of Directors is pleased to welcome Graig Walsh as General Manager.
Walsh officially commences the role of General Manager of the RRC on June 25, 2018.
“As a Board, we are excited to welcome Graig to the organization and the community,” said Bruno Francoeur, Chair of the Board of Directors of the RRC. “We are confident that his skillset, proven leadership abilities and diverse experience will bring additional strength to the RRC team.”
Walsh previously served as General Manager of the TransAlta Tri Leisure located in Spruce Grove, also servicing Stony Plain and Parkland County. He worked as the General Manager of Highlands Golf Club in Edmonton, the Recreation Manager for the City of Cold Lake, and the General Manager/Head Golf Professional of the Cold Lake Golf & Winter Club.

The RRC operates MacDonald Island Park in Fort McMurray (including the Suncor Community Leisure Centre, Shell Place and Miskanaw Golf Club) and the Anzac Recreation Centre presented by Nexen Energy in Anzac, as well as providing lifeguard services at the Sonny Flett Aquatic Centre in Fort Chipewyan.
