Overwhelming community response to “Christmas for Fort McMurray”

Due to overwhelming community response to the “Christmas for Fort McMurray” initiative, the distribution centre located at Shell Place is now closed as all donated items have been distributed to Fort McMurray families in need.

“Christmas for Fort McMurray” was created by Helga and Terry Lempriere of High River, Alberta. Inspired by their own experience after the floods in High River and the subsequent donation they received of Christmas décor, the Lemprieres organized an effort to collect donations of new Christmas décor to be delivered and distributed in Fort McMurray.
