(Fort McMurray, AB, June 12, 2017) - The inaugural Fort McMurray Flea Market at MacDonald Island Park on June 10, 2017 was a tremendous success thanks to the strong support of community members who came out to enjoy a beautiful Saturday morning and visit the vendors participating in the event.
The new Fort McMurray Flea Market is an opportunity for vendors of used goods, owners of home-based businesses, sellers of vintage wares and creators of arts and crafts to connect with members of the community in a traditional “flea market” style event. The Fort McMurray Flea Market will return to MacDonald Island Park from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm on July 8, August 12 and September 9.
“We would like to thank the community for the tremendous support of this first flea market event,” said Rachel Orser, Interim Chief Executive Officer of the Regional Recreation Corporation of Wood Buffalo. “The Fort McMurray Flea Market has great opportunity for growth as we continue to welcome new vendors for the remaining markets taking place this summer and we look forward to seeing even more community members enjoying the flea market in the coming months.”
There are still opportunities for interested vendors to register to participate in the Flea Market this summer. More information on registration and booth rental for the Fort McMurray Flea Market can be found at RRCWB.ca/events.
